Brian Aiello, Senior Associate at IKON, joined the team in November 2004 after having served as a senior Congressional aide and political operative. He manages a lobbying portfolio which consists of clients ranging from small non-profit organizations, hospitals, universities, to large corporate interests.
Most recently, Brian served as District Director and Director of Appropriations for Congressman Tim Murphy. In this capacity, he managed the operations of the Congressman’s office, while acting as his chief advisor on federal grants and appropriations. While also serving as Campaign Director, Brian played a leadership role in Congressman Murphy’s successful bid for reelection in 2004. Before assuming the responsibility of District Director, Brian was Senior Legislative Assistant to the Congressman in Washington. Prior to joining Congressman Murphy’s staff, Brian served as Community and Economic Development Director in Western Pennsylvania to U.S. Senator Arlen Specter. In addition to his government experience, Brian is also a seasoned political operative having held positions on various campaigns for offices ranging from U.S. Senate, Governor, state legislature and city council. Through his work in government, politics and consulting, Brian has honed his skills as a thorough and efficient manager of client needs. Brian holds B.A. in Political Science and Labor and Industrial Relations from The Pennsylvania State University. He is a member of the American League of Lobbyists and is a participant in the group’s Lobbying Certification Program, the only such program in the nation. He lives with his wife Tara and their two daughters in Pittsburgh.
